You may be among the many of us who have heard this phrase at least once in your life, "The Battle is not yours; (it's the Lord's). When I didn't have a better sense, I use to think that each individual is their own boss. We make our own decisions, and each of us has our own life to live. We try to survive this journey in the best way we know. As I started to know God more, I experienced Him more. I understood better that without God, man would have never existed. It was a striking realization that "I am not my own boss." If I were my own boss, I would not feel so constantly in need. If I am my own boss, then why do things go out of control in my own life? Why don't my plan always work? We all have a responsibility of how we live our lives but we do not have ultimate control of it. The fact that God created us makes it evident that we are not in charge. Hence, we often find that life sometimes becomes unbearable because we simply don't have the power over what ultimately happens in and around us. | |

![]() Think carefully today about what really matters in life, to you, to others, but most importantly to God. What is your ultimate goal in life? And after your life on earth is past, what memory would you like others to have of you? Stay Focus! Proverbs 4:25 ESV "Let your eyes look directly forward, and your gaze be straight before you.Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? 1 Corinthians 3:16-KJV
Cast your bread upon the waters, for you will find it after many days. Ecclesiastes 11:1- ESV Casting they bread upon waters historically, represents the custom of the Egyptians to sowing seed by casting from their boats into the Nile River. As the water receded, the grain in the alluvial soil sprang up (Isa 32:20).- (J.F. Brown Bible Commentary)
The wise man, Solomon urges those who have to give freely and willingly to those who do not have. Some people find it hard to give to the poor but the good of our labor is no good if it doesn't benefit others. Everyone of us must labor to be a blessing in the providence where God has placed us. Have you ever wondered how is it that some people could be so cheerful even in the most difficult time? Being cheerful in this very chaotic world seems almost impossible. You meet some people and you assume that they never had a bad day because they always got a smile on their face... always so happy. I wish I could say that am one of them. You must honor those people with an unfailing cheerfulness. Well, what is it with these people, anyway? Apart from personality wise, some people got a real reason to be cheerful. But what is it that really create this atmosphere of cheerfulness? People that are apparently cheerful, would usually choose their happiness. But I think being cheerful accumulates when you have the right focus, the right perspective. They focus on the goodness of life, not the bad. The energy that you use to focus on the bad will only develop into a more negative force; it is the opposite when you focus on the good times. Count your blessings! Why should anyone want to count their curses? This doesn't make sense! It's a very bad use of time and energy. Cheerful people find a reason to be. They are content and choose to have a positive attitude toward life no matter how rough the times might get.
Don't you love a cheerful person? Just think about the warmth, the brightness on their face. It kinda makes you want what they have because it's attractive, to some it's contagious. There are those people who are happy because others are happy, there are others who hate happy, self-motivated people. Well. you have your own face...just saying. For the Christians though, we have the most reason to be cheerful, in the good and in the bad times. Jesus said, "I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”- John 16:33 ESV. God has promised us peace, courage and victory over all the evil and powers of this world. So why fear? Come what may we shall have the victory! Be cheerful today, no matter the situation. It is the right attitude! Smile until you choke... No don't choke. Smile until you cry... : ) I challenge you today, to be cheerful! Blessings! Quote "Cheerfulness is like money well expended in charity; the more we dispense of it, the greater our possessions "--Victor Hugo ![]() Hebrews 4:16- Therefore let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need. Life's circumstance has taken a hold on many of us to the point where we stop believing. It is sad that too often we allow situations, people and things to define 'who we are'. In some cases it so extreme that we begin to question God's character...His faithfulness. If you continue to allow your confidence to be salvage by life circumstance or changes you may be giving the enemy an opportunity to step in. Of course he has no good intention for you. A lack of confidence in life, in yourself could be demoralizing when you desire to do something, when you want to make it, but you feel unable to because of how you feel inside. Hence, it limits your progress in life. |
