Inspired by L.B. Cowman from "Streams in the Dessert"
When I sit and think about beauty, I think of the glory that shines up above. The changing clouds is such a wonder to see. In life, there is a bright spot in every dark cloud for God has promised us a rainbow after the rain. (Genesis 9:13). The glory that shines when you look into the clouds above cannot be seen when you look down.
"If only we could see our sorrows and troubles from above instead of seeing them from below, we would look down on them from where we are seated with Christ Jesus in the heavenly realms. (Ephesians 2:6)"
We would see the colors of the rainbow instead of the darkness of the clouds. The saying goes, "Behind every dark cloud there is a silver lining." But you will only have a perfect view of what's behind, when you have the right position. When you look from above it changes "how things look" below. So, don't set your eyes on your problems. Set it on the rainbow in the clouds and see the beauty it reflects.
I May Not
“I cannot know why suddenly the storm
Should rage so fiercely round me in its wrath;
But this I know—God watches all my path,
And I can trust.
“I may not draw aside the mystic veil
That hides the unknown future from my sight,
Nor know if for me waits the dark or light;
But I can trust.
“I have no power to look across the tide,
To see while here the land beyond the river;
But this I , know—I shall be Gods forever;
So I can trust.”
