How ready are you to meet Jesus? If He was to come this moment and you stand before Him; will you be certain that you will spend eternity with Him in Heaven? How certain are you?
“NOT BY WORKS of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost” (Titus 3:5). This Bible verse makes it plain and simple that good works will not save anyone. Listen to the message of Ephesians 2:8-9, “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: NOT OF WORKS, lest any man should boast.” How many Scriptures does God need to put in front of our face before we get the idea—salvation is not by merit. “Knowing that a man is NOT JUSTIFIED BY THE WORKS OF THE LAW, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and NOT BY THE WORKS OF THE LAW: for BY THE WORKS OF THE LAW SHALL NO FLESH BE JUSTIFIED” (Galatians 2:16).
What will get you to Heaven is SALVATION!!!! But it doesn't stop here. You have to live your life in faithful obedience to God and His Holy Word. Getting into Heaven is not merely following the ordinance of God's Word but rather being faithful in fulfilling God's call for your life in humility. What is that will of God? We are called to be a Holy people (1 Thessalonians 4:7) at every breath, width and length. Yes, you must believe in His Son Jesus Christ and repent of your sins. We must go and tell of God's Salvation to every man that they may come to know Him as His Spirit draws them. We must not just love God, we must love others, for God is love. If we say we love God and love not others clearly the love of God is not in us.( 1 John 4 20). If you say you love God you cannot continue in sin
"What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? 2 By no means! We are those who have died to sin; how can we live in it any longer? 3 Or don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? 4 We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life. 8 Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him."
You cannot live in sin and be walking in obedience. SIN=Disobedience =death
Obedience on the other hand will lead to righteousness. Obedience=holiness/righteousness=eternal life, thorough Jesus Christ.
22" But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life. 23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in[b] Christ Jesus our Lord."
Read Galatians 5:13-22
If you're walking in the flesh you cannot enter the kingdom of Heaven.
So if you think you can play hide and seek with God, think again! There is no secret that God doesn't know....and won't reveal. (Luke 12:2) So if you think you can get away with your "secret sins" think again and check the Word of God. You need to repent, immediately! (Romans 10:9-10)
In closing please let us ensure that we do what God has called us to do with all of our heart, not in part. May our lives be daily consecrated unto God, to fulfill all that He has commanded us through His Word and Holy Spirit, that His judgment will not take us unawares. He that has ears let him hear!
I really want to make it to Heaven. Do you?
The real question is however, "Are you ready to meet Him?"
