Finding God in the Silence...
Okay, so many questions, complaints are often asked when we feel that God has suddenly given up on us. To be forsaken means that you have been abandoned or deserted. When you feel forsaken you can become very depressed. You may feel neglected by many people but can and will God ever forsake us? Absolutely not! He promised never to leave us. We can take this feeling either negatively or positively. This "silence" may mean that God is wanting you to be still. You have already presented your cause to Him. Sometimes we have to pause; quit talking and wait with patience for Him to work. "Stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord."-Exodus 14:13
Sometimes too it is just us feeling so weighed down by the pressures of this life. The times everything seems so dark; you feel all alone. This is a perfect time! God is saying, "Just trust me." In the quietness of your heat, "be still and know that I am God." Sometimes the pain in your life makes God seems so far away. But, if you trust Him in the good times, you should trust Him in the bad times because it is in these times when we truly desire to see His almighty power move in our lives. You wonder how you can make it through this time but it's time to trust in God. No, it ain't easy! But "through the tears and the pain; through the heartache and rain" trust God! In the silence, trust Him.
When heaven's only answer is the silence of God, when you are truly seeking His comfort and guidance, it is enough to shake one's faith in Him. But remember that when all of your friends has forsaken you, Jesus is down on His knees weeping on your behalf. "The man of all sorrows has never forgotten the sorrow that is carried by the hearts He has brought." God will never shut you out! So trust Him.
