Can we be anymore mislead? This is a total misguidance of what things really matters in life! Which things will bring you the most lasting profitable gain. Of which things make the greatest, most profitable impact on the lives of others.
He did not focus on showing how powerful He is. He didn't care if He became a famous TV Star or had all the riches that anyone in the world could ever dream. No! He was compassionate, loving, patient, kind, just, humbled and always wanted the best for others. He sought to give mankind what they needed to survive. Through His works He exemplified how we ought to live life, how we ought to treat or serve others and ultimately, He taught us which things really matters. Surely it isn't the BIG things that we do but rather the smallest things which will very often have the most lasting profitable impact on the lives of others.
Too often we crucify the needs others in order to satisfy our own selfish desires. This ought not to be so! We need to focus more on what really matters. Share in the joy of others, love all people, desire to see others happy, show a small act of kindness, don't seek to pull others down and preferably push yourself up the ladder. Jesus taught us that the simple things in life really matters and would bring you profitable gains. Let us search our selves today to see if we are guilty of neglecting the small things which are yet so very important or necessary in life.
To those who think that being famous brings you much gain and to those who think doing the biggest things makes you "GREAT":
- "Do not be called leaders; for One is your Leader, that is, Christ. "But the greatest among you shall be your servant. "Whoever exalts himself shall be humbled; and whoever humbles himself shall be exalted.…" Matthew 23:11.
- Ephesians 4:2- "Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love."
- John 13:35 -"By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another."
I pray today that we will refocus our attention on doing good to others rather than heaping up fame for ourselves which will only bring a short-term level of satisfaction. In fact, I don't think any one is most genuinely, deeply satisfied or happy with their lives although they may have everything they want in life, except that they have personally experienced and understand the GREAT LOVE OF GOD.
IF we have LOVE, then it's all we need because GOD IS LOVE! :)
