Life's circumstance has taken a hold on many of us to the point where we stop believing. It is sad that too often we allow situations, people and things to define 'who we are'. In some cases it so extreme that we begin to question God's character...His faithfulness. If you continue to allow your confidence to be salvage by life circumstance or changes you may be giving the enemy an opportunity to step in. Of course he has no good intention for you. A lack of confidence in life, in yourself could be demoralizing when you desire to do something, when you want to make it, but you feel unable to because of how you feel inside. Hence, it limits your progress in life.
Your confidence in God will empower your confidence in yourself (and thus in life). We often lack the confidence to serve God faithfully and we live in fear because our faith is limit to the situation or problem and not in Jesus Christ! (Matthew 8:26)
Proverbs 3:26- For the LORD will be your confidence And will keep your foot from being caught.
I encourage you today to take a step of faith and walk in confidence in God everyday this year. Our confidence is of Him. Confidence helps us to rely on God for everything in life. ( Philippians 4:13;Hebrew 4:14-16;Proverbs 3:25-27) We go forward in the direction we are called because we have the God of the universe daily guiding us. When we focus on who we are in Christ, then we are able to overcome the distrust, doubts, uncertainty, and disbelief. Therefore you do not limit your thinking on what is possible, what you can or cannot do. Build your confidence in God! When you feel like you're starting to loose your faith in Him engage in His Word for reassurance of His might and love for you. Or it will worth it if you cry out to Him as David did.
"One thing God has spoken, two things have I heard: that you, O God, are strong,
and that you, O Lord, are loving. Surely you will reward each person according to what he has done." Psalm 62:11-12 (NIV)
If you are facing a struggle it won't help if you put God a box. Today, allow God's Holy Spirit to show you areas in your life that will allow him access to your heart. Ask him to gain control of your thoughts and destroy the lies Satan has put there to cause you harm. Lies like... You're not good enough, God has forgotten about you, He is too busy for you, You never gonna 'become'..,You're not praying hard enough, You'll never reach that far, etc. God has not failed me. I'm sure many of you can testify of God's faithfulness in our lives. He has not changed! So we can be confident in His power and wisdom to guide us through our valleys and bring us victory and prosperity in life. Walk in confidence!
